Open Bay is a wilderness conservancy, research centre for the arts & sciences, and the base-camp for working expeditions at sea aboard the sailing vessel Jan van Gent.

A registered non-profit Society, Open Bay Centre resides on 105 acres of protected coastal rainforest in the Discovery Islands, British Columbia, bordering the Great Bear Rainforest Zone.

The Open Bay Centre for Art & Science Foundation is, also, the administering non-profit for The Arctic Circle Residency; an annual art & science expeditionary residency program sailing in the Arctic Ocean’s Svalbard archipelago.
